SADF P83 Battle Jacket

The Battle Jacket was professionally repaired by a master shoemaker. Several seams around the webbing and zippers were reinforced or repaired, and the Velcro on all pouches was completely replaced, as the original Velcro had lost most of its grip.

All zippers are fully functional. All original side-release buckles are still present and working; only the lower buckle on the front is slightly stiff.

Modifications: The internal dividers in the magazine pouches are missing. They were removed by the previous owner to make the pouches more flexible for use with different magazine types.

There were also two rather ugly markings/writings on the backpack section, which have been covered with sewn-on Velcro. One strip was added to the top flap for a name tape, while a larger Velcro panel was added to the outer fabric underneath, suitable for virtually any kind of ID or morale patch.
