RetroArms Bearing Installation Tool
When installing bearings into a gearbox, it is important that the force used to seat them is applied to the outer bearing ring. An incorrect procedure can damage the bearing or the bearing seat in the gearbox. The RetroArms tool makes it easier to seat the bearing correctly and allows for more precise alignment with the bearing seat. It is therefore a practical aid for servicing and building AEG gearboxes. For installation, the bearings need to be carefully tapped into the gearbox. For additional securing, a suitable threadlocker such as Loctite 243 or a similar product can be used, but be careful not to allow the adhesive to get inside the bearing under any circumstances.
