The gun is built around a steel body and pin-based construction inspired by the VFC AK Series, complemented by a folding skeleton stock and polymer handguard. The result is the traditional AK look combined with modern EDGE™ internal parts. Steel is not used only for the body itself. The dust cover, outer barrel, trigger guard, magazine release, fire selector, gas tube, muzzle brake, rear sight, cleaning rod, pins and rivets are also made of steel. Other metal parts are made of a zinc and aluminium alloy with a special surface finish. Inside is a reinforced ORION™ V3 gearbox, which is designed for M120 springs. It is equipped with a reinforced polymer piston with a full-metal rack, an aluminium cylinder head with double sealing, a ball-bearing spring guide and 18:1 steel gears. Power adjustment is handled by the Enter a Covert™ quick spring change system. The spring can be replaced without completely disassembling the gearbox, but with this system the gearbox itself must first be removed from the gun body. The package also includes a weaker M90 spring suitable for reducing power for CQB events. The shooting system is complemented by a 6.03 mm precision inner barrel and an adjustable hop-up unit. The battery is traditionally stored under the dust cover, making slim Stick-type batteries (7.4–9.6V) particularly suitable for this configuration.
