I am selling a refurbished SSR4 AEG gearbox that previously performed poorly and made a horrible noise from the gears.
I shimmed the gears again, which stopped the noise. During shimming, I also checked the AOE, for which I did not adjust anything because it was already good from the factory. I also re-greased it.
Do not use a 30k motor with this gearbox because it will overheat and you might wreck the entire gearbox. My advice is to use a
25k engine, and you're still around 25 rps, which is still very fast. With the tractor currently installed, it is also possible to increase or decrease the draw distance; I have currently reduced it to a draw distance of one millimeter.
The gearbox also features the Novritsch ETU/MOSFET that you can configure; the schematic/instructions for doing this can be found online at Novritsch.
The gearbox also works nicely with a Maxx Model CNC hop-up and a tightbore inner barrel with a Super Macaron 60° bucking and Omega nub for very tight grouping.
As can be seen in the photos, the gearbox uses a Deans (T-plug) connector.
