This airsoft replica is built to a 1:1 scale and, thanks to the original Glock markings, provides a very authentic impression. The markings are deeply engraved into the metal slide, just like on the real thing. The Glock markings molded into the grip are also neatly integrated. Above all, the excellent shooting performance with its authentic gas blowback system is impressive and offers a truly satisfying shooting experience.

The firing mechanism of this pistol ensures that the metal slide moves back and forth with each shot, just like a real pistol. In addition to the realistic sound, the crisp recoil further enhances the authentic overall impression. When the magazine is empty, the slide locks back into place, just like on a real pistol. After inserting a new or loaded magazine, the slide stop must be pressed to continue firing.

The most noticeable feature of the Generation 5 is the redesigned grip. It eliminates the finger grooves that have been standard since 1998, resulting in a noticeably improved feel. The small, square, and textured grips, however, remain. When the magazine is removed, the magazine well is shaped like a funnel. This feature is intended to make magazine changes easier and faster. The overall frame dimensions are identical to the original, meaning the pistol will also fit in Safariland or Blackhawk holsters.

The ambidextrous slide trigger, present on the original pistol, has been added to this airsoft replica for visual effect. Unfortunately, it can only be operated from the left side. For easier aiming, the front and rear sights are backed with white. Like its predecessor, the Generation 5 also features a Picatinny rail under the grip for additional mounting options. The integrated hop- up system improves BB trajectory. As with the original, all firing-related levers on the airsoft version are functional.

The original Glock 17 pistol is used by military and police units worldwide. The G17 pistol, in various generations, is also used by GSG-9 and SEK units.
