The Walther PP series has always been a cult pistol, made famous primarily by the world's most famous British spy, James Bond. Thanks to its metal slide and polymer grip, it is surprisingly lightweight. Most of the weight comes from the magazine, which holds 22 BBs – though it can actually hold up to 40 rounds. It features an internal firing pin mechanism.
The grip features a design subtly inspired by tribal styles and fits comfortably in the hand. Thanks to the numerous knurled areas, it offers a secure grip even when wearing gloves. The slide is also knurled, allowing each user to develop their own cocking technique.
Since it's officially licensed, it bears the same markings as the original – a really cool detail. It doesn't use 6mm BBs, but is designed for 9x19mm ammunition (or rather, has corresponding realistic markings).
How about the accuracy? It shoots like a typical GBB (Gas Blowback) pistol. Since it's mostly made of polymer – and the slide, despite being metal, doesn't feel like it – there's a slight "click-clack" sound, which isn't particularly pleasant. The recoil, however, is a pleasant surprise. While you do get the feeling that the gas pressure decreases with each shot, the feel of the shot remains constant – a big plus. Even with rapid fire, the firing process feels consistently smooth!
Included in the package are a mounting bracket (on the right side) and a second magazine, which is slightly damaged – but still works.
