This Umarex Glock 45 Gen5 MOS airsoft replica is a virtually identical copy of its firearm counterpart. It features a semi-automatic fire mode that allows you to fire the 6mm BBs nice and fast, and it comes with a magazine that has a capacity of 20 BBs. That gas magazine has a manually pull-down follower, making it easy to load. The replica has a good-feeling blowback and features the same trigger safety that characterizes the real steel Glock 17.
This airsoft replica is made of black anodized aluminum, which has excellent corrosion resistance. The grip is made of synthetic material, giving the Umarex Glock 45 Gen5 MOS good balance. It has a total length of 189 mm and a weight of 450 grams. The replica features rear and front sights, but it is also particularly easy to equip with a red dot. This MOS version—which stands for Modular Optic System—features a removable plate located on the rear of the slide. That plate can be easily removed and replaced with an adapter plate for a red dot from Docter, Trijicon, C-More, or Leupold.
The grip of the Umarex Glock 45 Gen5 MOS features a rough texture on all sides, providing just that little bit more grip. This airsoft replica is suitable—or at least can be made suitable—for both left- and right-handed airsofters. The slide lock can be operated from both sides of the frame as standard, and the magazine catch can be moved from the left to the right side. At the bottom of the forend is a short Weaver/Picatinny accessory rail for, for example, a light or a laser. And speaking of adjustability; the hop-up is also adjustable. To do this, the slide must be removed, as the adjustable hop-up is attached to the barrel.
