US SOCOM SR-47 | EMG/Evike | AEG | ETU

The SR-47

Based on a real steel prototype.
A unique project from US SOCOM.
M4/M16 based on AK magazines.

The idea was that it would allow special forces to use the familiar M4 platform with ammunition scavenged from the enemy or stolen in hostile territory.

This replica is a custom build kit from Evike/EMG. You only buy the receiver, minor accessories, and the hop unit; the rest of the exterior and internal components must be built by yourself.

The receiver is made entirely of metal. That's why I built the rest of it the same way.
- Metal stock tube
- Metal outer barrel
- New licensed MLOK handguard.

Internally, it's essentially a standard V2 gearbox, using M4 internals.
- 18:1 gearset
- T238 Basic ETU mounted.

The hop unit is unique. Similar to an M4, but with a different feed tube for AK mags.

Don't expect a "Hi-End" build!
However, the replica itself works just as it should.
- working safe
- semi-auto
- full auto
