Where to start upgrading

Most airsoft upgrades are about accuracy before power. A new hop-up bucking and nub and a tight-bore inner barrel are cheap, reversible and make a stock AEG shoot further and straighter than any extra fps would. Next comes reliability: a gearbox with steel gears, a proper shim job, a polycarbonate piston and a bearing spring guide survives an 11.1 V battery. A high-torque motor sharpens the trigger response, and a MOSFET or electronic trigger unit protects the contacts and adds programmable fire modes. Only then think about a stronger spring, if your site limit allows it.

Gas and HPA

Gas blowback pistols and rifles have their own wear parts: nozzles, valves, hammers and slides are listed under GBB parts. Players who convert an AEG to high-pressure air find engines, regulators, tanks and lines in HPA parts. Externals cover the outside of the gun: handguards, stocks, receivers, outer barrels and pistol grips, which change how the gun handles as much as how it looks.

Compatibility and the law

Use the compatibility and gearbox version filters on every sub-category, because a V2 part does not fit a V3 gearbox and a VSR-10 part does not fit an L96. Parts are unrestricted goods with no age limit, but remember that raising the energy of an airsoft gun must keep it inside the legal limit of your country and the chronograph limit of your site.
