Reducing cable Dean T male - Tamiya male (large)LiPo batteries are the standard for AEGs: light, powerful and quick to recharge, with a 7.4 V pack giving a crisp trigger response and 11.1 V a faster rate of fire for guns with a MOSFET and reinforced gears. Li-Ion packs hold more capacity in the same size and are safer to store, at the cost of a slightly softer response. NiMH 8.4 V and 9.6 V packs are robust, cheap and tolerant of neglect, which still makes them a sensible choice for a first gun. LiFe batteries are the safe compromise for players who want lithium without the LiPo discipline.
Shape decides whether the battery fits: stick packs for AK and M4 buffer tubes, nunchucks for crane stocks, bricks for handguards and PEQ boxes and twin sticks for G36 and MP5 stocks. The connector must match your gun: Tamiya and mini Tamiya on most stock guns, Deans or T-plug and XT60 on upgraded ones, AEP plugs for electric pistols. Capacity in mAh sets how many shots you get; 1,200 mAh lasts a game day for most players. All of these are filters in this category.
Charge lithium batteries only on a balance charger, in a fireproof bag and never unattended. Store LiPo packs at half charge in winter and recycle swollen cells. Batteries and chargers are unrestricted. Keep a spare in your bag and a charger in the car.
