Airsoft Grenades & Launchers

Types of airsoft grenade

Impact grenades burst on contact and spread BBs or a loud report; many are reusable and run on green gas. Timer grenades give you a few seconds after the pin is pulled, so you can bounce them around a corner. Both are sold as hand grenades in the type filter. A 40 mm grenade shell is the airsoft take on the launcher round: a gas-filled brass or aluminium shell loaded with 18 to 200 BBs that fires a cloud from a launcher mounted under your rifle or carried as a stand-alone pistol launcher. Mines and claymores guard a flank or a flag with a trip wire.

Smoke, pyro and site rules

Smoke grenades mark positions, cover a push or signal a medic; colours and burn times vary, and most are single use. Pyrotechnic grenades and some smokes are regulated differently from the gas-powered products in this category, and many sites restrict or ban them, so read the rules of your field before you order. A dump pouch from belts and pouches lets you recover reusable grenades after a game.

What you need to run them

Gas-powered grenades and shells need green gas or CO2 and 0.20 g BBs. Reusable models need silicone oil after each game to keep the valves sealing, found in maintenance. Grenades and launchers are not airsoft guns in the legal sense, so they are not affected by UKARA or two-tone rules, but we still sell them to adults only and the checkout applies any restrictions of your delivery country.
