G&F Lowered Belt Platform Level III – BlackA belt holster sits on your tactical belt at the hip and is the fastest draw for most players. A drop-leg holster lowers the pistol to the thigh, clear of a plate carrier and a long rifle, at the cost of a little bounce when you run. MOLLE holsters mount on the cummerbund or front of a plate carrier or chest rig for a cross-draw. Many holsters use a modular mount so you can move the same shell between belt, leg and MOLLE platforms.
Airsoft replicas copy the real dimensions, so a holster moulded for a Glock 17 fits a Glock airsoft pistol, and one for a 2011 fits a Hi-Capa, but a tactical light or a non-standard compensator can block it. Use the platform filter to see holsters for the pistol you own and check the product notes about rails and lights. Kydex and polymer holsters hold the pistol by friction or a retention hood and give the cleanest draw; nylon universal holsters adjust to almost any frame and are the cheaper choice for revolvers and unusual designs.
A good holster covers the trigger guard completely and holds the pistol through a sprint and a dive into cover. Practise the draw at home with an unloaded gun and set the retention screw before a game. Holsters are unrestricted gear with no age or licence requirement, unlike the pistols that go in them.
