Buying and selling used airsoft in the UK

The UK has a large and friendly airsoft scene, with sites from woodland and urban to indoor CQB in every region. Players upgrade often, so there is always a good choice of used airsoft guns: from a first two tone to a full metal M4, a high end GBBR or a bolt action sniper rifle.

On Airsoft Bazaar you find second hand airsoft guns, magazines, optics, batteries and gear from UK players and from Europe, filtered by category, brand, price and condition, with the seller's reviews next to every listing.

Selling is free: upload photos, describe the condition, fps and upgrades, and your listing is visible to buyers in the UK and across Europe. Paying through the platform gives both sides buyer protection.

Airsoft rules in the UK

  • You must be 18 or older to buy an airsoft gun in the UK.
  • A realistic imitation firearm (RIF) may only be sold to a buyer with a defence under the VCRA, usually a UKARA registration or proof of regular play at a site. Without a defence, buy a two tone.
  • The legal limits are 1.3 joules for fully automatic and 2.5 joules for single shot airsoft guns.
  • Transport your airsoft gun in a bag or case, out of sight, straight to the site.

Rules change and this is not legal advice: check the current legislation and the rules of your field before you buy or sell.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need UKARA to buy a second hand airsoft gun?

For a realistic imitation firearm (RIF) the buyer needs a defence under the VCRA 2006, most commonly a UKARA registration. Two tones can be bought by any adult. Sellers should check before handing over a RIF.

Can I buy from a seller in Europe?

Yes, but you import the gun yourself: it must be under the UK limits, and for a RIF you need a defence. Check the current import rules before you buy.

How does buyer protection work?

You pay through Airsoft Bazaar and the money is only released to the seller once you confirm that the gun arrived as described. If something is wrong you open a dispute and we mediate.

How do I post an airsoft gun in the UK?

Pack it in a closed, plain box without battery or gas and send it insured with tracking, to an adult. Check the courier's rules for imitation firearms first.

Is it free to list?

Yes. Listings with photos are free. You only pay if you want to promote your listing for extra visibility.
