In short
- Communicate: discuss the problem with the other party in the chat.
- Record the solution in the chat: the buyer starts a dispute and proposes a (partial) refund. Rejected? Then either party makes a counter proposal.
- The money stays safe: as long as the dispute is open, the payout is paused.
- Automatic settlement: as soon as a proposal is accepted, the amount is refunded and the remainder is released. You do not need to contact Airsoft Bazaar for this.
- No response from the other party? Then you can involve support.
How to start and settle a dispute is explained step by step in How do disputes work in the chat?
Detailed
Working towards a solution together
At Airsoft Bazaar we are dedicated to providing a safe and reliable environment for buyers and sellers. Payment requests with buyer protection are part of that. Still, things can go wrong: a parcel that does not arrive, an item that differs from the description or a defect discovered after receipt.
Airsoft Bazaar is not a party to the sale and does not take sides. Buyer and seller decide on the solution together. Common solutions are:
- returning the item to the seller and a full refund of the item price and shipping costs;
- a partial refund, for example for repair costs or a missing part, with the remainder going to the seller;
- splitting the loss when a parcel has gone missing and nobody is at fault.
The amount is held
As long as a dispute is open, Airsoft Bazaar holds the payment and nothing is paid out. The automatic release, which normally takes place 10 working days after payment, is paused as well. This gives you time to reach a solution together without either of you running a risk.
Settlement takes place in the chat
You no longer need to report an agreement to us to have it executed. The buyer records the proposal via Start dispute in the purchase overview. As soon as the other party accepts a proposal, the agreed amount is automatically refunded to the buyer and the remainder is released to the seller. The refund usually reaches the buyer's account within 5 to 10 working days; the seller receives their share within a few working days.
The buyer protection and the service fee are not refunded.
When does Airsoft Bazaar help?
We do not mediate on the content of a dispute and do not judge who is right. We do help when:
- the other party no longer responds to messages and proposals in the chat;
- the other party refuses to cooperate on a reasonable solution;
- there is a technical problem with the payment request or the dispute function.
In that case, contact us via Request assistance in the purchase overview or via the chat at the bottom right of the website. Always mention which listing it concerns, whether you are the buyer or the seller and what you may already have agreed. We read along in the chat history, contact the other party and give them a deadline to respond. If there is still no response after that, we decide on the basis of the chat history how the payment request is settled.
Do you suspect a scam?
In that case do not release the amount and start a dispute, so the payout stays paused. Also report the user via the report function on the listing or the profile. Read Help! I'm scammed as well.
Did not use buyer protection?
Then unfortunately we cannot mediate. Read I have issues with my received goods and did not use the Airsoft Bazaar payment request function.
Conclusion
Our goal is to ensure that all transactions proceed as smoothly as possible. Should a dispute arise, the chat gives you everything you need to solve it together while the money is held safely. By collaborating we keep Airsoft Bazaar safe and reliable as the marketplace for airsoft enthusiasts.
