Why this is needed
Payments with buyer protection are handled by our payment partner Stripe, a payment service provider licensed by the Dutch central bank. Stripe is legally required to know who receives the money. That is why you complete your payout details once as a seller. Buyers do not need to do this.
Step by step
- Start from the chat or your dashboard. When a buyer sends a proposal or you want to create a payment request, you see Complete your payout details first. You can also start under Dashboard → Payments.
- Personal details and address. Fill in your legal name, date of birth, phone number, address and IBAN. The country of your account must be one of the supported countries.
- Verify your details with Stripe. Click Verify details. You go to a secure Stripe page. Keep your ID (passport, ID card or driving licence) at hand; Stripe may ask for a photo of it or for proof of address. Stripe also asks for business details: you can skip those, we have taken care of that in the background.
- Checking. Back on Airsoft Bazaar you see Your profile is almost complete. Stripe is now checking your details. This usually takes a few minutes to a few hours, occasionally up to one working day.
- Done. As soon as the check is complete you see Your profile is complete and you can accept and create payment requests. You do not need to repeat this process.
Stripe asks for extra documents
Sometimes Stripe cannot verify a detail automatically, for example when your name is written differently on your ID or your address could not be confirmed. You then see Fill in missing details under Dashboard → Payments. Click it and upload what is asked for. Until you do, payment requests stay blocked and a scheduled payout can be held back.
Frequently asked questions
It has been more than a day and my profile is still being checked
Open Dashboard → Payments and click Refresh page. Still pending? Check whether Stripe has asked for documents (see above). If nothing is asked and it still does not complete after two working days, contact us via the chat at the bottom right and mention your username.
Do I pay anything for this?
No. Buyer protection is free for the seller: you receive the full item amount plus the shipping costs. The payout lands on your IBAN within a few working days after the buyer releases the amount.
Can I change my IBAN later?
Yes, under Dashboard → Payments. Stripe may verify the new account number again.
Is this the same as account verification?
No. Account verification is about your e-mail address, NABV membership and optional extra verifications of your profile. The Stripe check is only needed to receive payouts.
