In short
- As long as a dispute is open, the money stays with Airsoft Bazaar. Nothing is paid out.
- The other party has 14 days to respond to a proposal. Without a response the proposal is accepted automatically and the refund is carried out.
- After a rejection, a new proposal has to be made within 14 days. Without a new proposal the amount is released to the seller.
- You do not have to contact us for this: the deadlines run by themselves and you can always see them in the purchase overview.
How the deadlines work
Every proposal in a dispute has a response deadline of 14 days. The party that has to respond receives a reminder in the chat and by e-mail 7 days and 2 days before the deadline. In the purchase overview (View details) you see the exact date next to Waiting for a response from …. A chat message alone does not count as a response: the other party has to click Accept, Reject or Make counter proposal.
- No response to a proposal. On the deadline the proposal is accepted automatically. The proposed amount is refunded to the buyer and the remainder is released to the seller, exactly as if the other party had clicked Accept.
- Proposal rejected, then silence. After a rejection the party that wants a different outcome has 14 days to make a new proposal. The buyer, who keeps the dispute alive, is reminded in the chat and by e-mail 7 days and 2 days before this deadline. If nobody makes a new proposal, the dispute lapses and the full amount is released to the seller. The purchase overview shows this date as well.
The seller does not respond before I start a dispute
Is the seller not answering your messages at all, for instance after you paid and nothing was shipped? Then start the dispute yourself via View details and Start dispute, and propose a full refund. Do this before the date of the automatic release (10 working days after payment); that date is shown in the chat. From that moment the 14-day deadline applies to the seller. The buyer does not respond (seller)
As a seller you do not need a response from the buyer to get paid. If the buyer neither releases the amount nor starts a dispute, the amount is released to you automatically 10 working days after payment. If the buyer started a dispute and then stops responding to your counter proposal, that counter proposal is accepted automatically after 14 days.
When does Airsoft Bazaar step in?
We do not judge who is right, and we do not shorten the deadlines. Contact us via Request assistance at the bottom of the purchase overview when:
- something technical goes wrong with the payment request or the dispute;
- you suspect fraud, for example a fake tracking code. Report the user as well via the report function;
- the other party threatens or harasses you in the chat.
Always mention which listing it concerns and whether you are the buyer or the seller. We read along in the chat history and respond within a few working days.
